Sambalpur: 3 Clusters to Be Started Soon for Trading of Mango, Litchi and Bamboo Crafts

Sambalpur: Samleswari Sambalpur Non Timber Forest Produce Farmers Producers Company Limited (SSNFPCL) has decided to start three clusters for trading of mango, litchi and bamboo crafts.

The Board of Director meeting of SSNFPCL promoted by ORMAS, OLM and Mission Shakti under NRLM has also decided to increase shareholders of the company.

The women PG and SHG can become members by giving Rs. 1000 as capital in tranches.
The company will take up marketing of Minor Forest Produce like Sal seeds, Tamarind Harida etc., Mango, Chilli, watermelon, mustard etc.

Two products cluster on processing of Mango/Litchi, Chilli in Kuchinda and One product cluster on Bamboo crafts making in Rengali block will be implemented by the company. They will develop branding and packaging for these products.

One Agri Mall will be set up in Kuchinda town to sell agriculture inputs to farmers.

The meeting was attended by PD, DRDA, Sambalpur, Addl PD (Admin), Dy. CEO, ORMAS, APD, Training and APD Livelihood and all 10 Board members.
