New Delhi: In an unprecedented action, social media major Twitter has tagged one of the tweets of Sambit Patra related to toolkit as Manipulated Media.
This action comes after the Congress Party filed a forgery complaint against Bharatiya Janata Party’s Sambit Patra and other’s to the micro blogging site.
This is an embarrassing setback to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s vocal spokesperson.
Also, this comes just days after Twitter removed Kangana Ranawat permanently from the site. Sambit had posted a screen shot of a purported Congress Toolkit criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi which the social media site flagged as Manipulated Media.
According to Twitter “…we may label Tweets that include media (videos, audio, and images) that have been deceptively altered or fabricated. In addition, you may not share deceptively altered media on Twitter in ways that mislead or deceive people about the media’s authenticity where threats to physical safety or other serious harm may result.”
