New Delhi: The Supreme Court today granted interim bail to Republic TV’s editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami in connection with a 2018 abetment to suicide case.
The apex court Bench headed by Justice D Y Chandrachud quashed the Bombay High Court order and granted Arnab Goswami and two other accused interim bail on a bond of Rs 50,000, according to reports.
The SC also asked the High Courts to exercise their jurisdiction to uphold personal liberty.
Goswami was arrested last week by Alibag Police in a 2018 case of alleged abetment to suicide of an interior designer.
