Bhubaneswar: As COVID-19 induced lockdown has affected most of the educational activities in the state-run schools in Odisha, the State Government has decided to rationalize the curriculum of school students.
Informing this, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that the school syllabus will be reduced for all classes in the wake of closure of schools for a long period of time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given his approval to rationalize the syllabus for the students, the Minister said.
The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) will decide about the reduction of the syllabus for classes I to X and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will decide on classes XI and XII syllabuses, he added.
