Schools to Remain Closed in Jagatsinghpur Dist for 2 Days due to Flood

Jagatsinghpur: The Jagatsinghpur administration has announced closure of schools in the district due to the flood.

In a letter to all Block Education Officers (BEOs), Jagatsinghpur Collector Parul Patawari informed that the schools will remain closed for two days till August 17.

“It has come to notice that some of the schools are inundated or there is the possibility of induction of flood water”, the letter reads.

The Collectors asked the BEOs to close the schools where there is the possibility of indication of flood water. The Collector also asked the BEOs to ensure safe custody of valuable assets, equipment, and records, and MDM stocks.
