Senior BJD Leader Kartik Pandian Takes a Dig at Opposition in Nimapara

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader Kartik Pandian on Thursday took a dig at the opposition while campaigning for the Biju Janata Dal in Nimapara Assembly constituency in Puri district.

In a public meeting, the BJD star campaigner said that seeing so much love of the people for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the mind of the opposition leaders is not working.

Several big leaders are coming to Odisha from outside and are disrespecting the Chief Minister in rude language. Among them is the Chief Minister of Assam, he said.

Launching a scathing attack on Assam CM, Pandian said, “I would like to tell him that Naveen Babu has worked with your Guru’s Guru. Naveen Babu was a Cabinet Minister in the Vajpayee’s government, you were practicing law at that time”.

The Assam Chief Minister should learn the cultural ethos from the people of Odisha. Odisha never disrespects the guests. May the Lord Jagannath bless him with good sense, the senior BJD leader said.

Opposition parties are threatening and attacking the BJD workers. This is not good. Our Chief Minister believes in peace, Pandian said.

The Chief Minister has special focus on the development of Nimapara. Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Soomnath temple, Rs 1.50 crore for Jateshwar Temple, Rs 1.50 crore for Amareshwar Temple. Special schemes have been launched for the welfare for the fishermen and betel farmers, he said.

The BJD Government is the government of the people, the government of the farmers and government of the youth, Pandian said.

With the blessings of Mahaprabhu and people of the state, Naveen Patnaik will once again take oath as Chief Minister on June 9, he added.
