Senior BJD Leaders Meet Naveen Patnaik to Discuss Party’s Organisational Election

Bhubaneswar: Senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) met party President Naveen Patnaik to discuss about the organisational election of the party.

The meeting focused on key aspects of the election process, including the selection of district-level leadership.

Briefing the media after the crucial meeting, BJD MLA Arun Kumar Sahoo said, “Today, we met our honorable party President Naveen Patnaik and held discussions on the party’s organisational election. Our party’s organisational election is currently underway, and we discussed issues related to the election of the party president and district presidents.”

The BJD’s organisational election, which is being conducted in six phases, is set to complete by the end of April.

According to party sources, three phases of the election have already been completed. A recent meeting with election officers from 30 districts paved the way for the fourth phase, during which district presidents will be selected.

The fifth phase will see the formation of the state council and executive committee, culminating in the election of the party president.

The process is designed to involve a broad base of party workers, including youth, women, and students from the grassroots level, ensuring a democratic and inclusive approach to leadership selection.

With Naveen Patnaik at the helm, the BJD continues to emphasize its commitment to grassroots representation and organisational unity.
