Shutdown Relaxed in Berhampur, Now Shops Allowed to Open from 5AM to 8PM from Monday to Friday

Berhampur: The weekday shutdown imposed in Berhampur city in Odisha’s Ganjam district has been relaxed. Now the shops will be allowed to open from 5AM to 8PM from Monday to Friday.

This has been informed by Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) Commissioner Chakravorty Singh Rathore.

Previously, the shops and business establishments were allowed to operate from 5AM to 4PM.

However, the weekend shutdown (Saturday and Sunday) will remain in force in Berhampur, he added.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 situation in the BeMC area has shown improvement with the recovery of 2438 (85.97%) patients from the virus. The total active cases now stands at 351.
