Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Odisha Vigilance will take the disgraced IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak on a three-day remand for further interrogation.
The Special Vigilance Court, Bhubaneswar has allowed the SIT to take the arrested IFS officer for a three-day remand.
Pathak, who has been arrested by the Vigilance for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets worth crores, will be interrogated by the anti-corruption officials regarding his sources of the unaccounted assets and also look into the involvement of others in the offence, sources said.
Earlier, Sky King travel agency had yesterday filed an FIR with the Khrabelanagar Police Station against Pathak and his son citing cheating and not payment of dues.
