SJTA Makes Necessary Arrangements as Devotees to Enter Srimandir without COVID Negative Reports from Tomorrow
Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has put all arrangements in place as devotees will visit the Srimandir without COVID-19 negative reports from tomorrow onwards.
Talking to media, SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Krishan Kumar said that all necessary arrangements have been made in order to ensure smooth darshan for devotees.
The devotees can visit the 12th-century shrine after 7 am tomorrow without requiring them to produce negative COVID-19 reports, he said.
The SJTA has held discussions with the district administration and police department to make necessary arrangements to ensure hassle free darshan for the visitors.
With summer setting, drinking water facility has been arranged for the devotees. As many as 130 drinking water points have been installed outside the barricade for first time, he added.
Notably, the temple was reopened for the residents of Puri from December 23 last year. From January 3 this year, the temple was opened for all pilgrims. However, visitors were required to present COVID-19 negative reports as well as valid identity cards to gain entry. A maximum of 5,000 devotees were being allowed to have daily darshan from January 3.
The number of visitors will be increased to 30,000 daily from January 21, according to reports.
