Social Activists from Chatrapur Serve Food, Distribute Relief Materials to Fani-Affected People in Puri
Chatrapur: Inspired by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, a team of youth social activists from Chatrapur block came forward to extend helping hand to the cyclone Fani victims in Puri district.
Led by K Harinath, the social workers from Gilitipeta Street in Chatrapur today arranged food for more than 1,500 people affected by the natural disaster in Polanga village near Brahmagiri of Puri.
The social workers also visited several affected areas in the district and showed their solidarity to the people at this grave hour of distress.
The team distributed relief materials, such as cloths, grocery items and utensils to each family in Baghamunda village under Satapada panchayat.
The social activists also spent their quality time with the children in the village and gave them biscuits and study materials.
Harinath, who is the leading the group, appealed the people to join hands with them in rebuilding the Fani-ravaged Odisha.
