Jharsuguda: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested a Lab Assistant in Jharsuguda district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
“Today, Ganesh Kalser, Technical Asst, Soil Testing Lab, O/o Chief Dist Agriculture Officer, Jharsuguda has been apprehended by Odisha #Vigilance while taking bribe of Rs.50,000 from a Laboratory Attendant to process file for facilitating continuance of his contractual job”, the Vigilance said.
The entire bribe amount of Rs 50,000 has been recovered from the exclusive possession of the accused and seized.
Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Kalser from the DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance P.S. Case U/s.7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against the accused, the Vigilance informed.
