Bhubaneswar: In a major push to Odisha’s sports endeavor, the Badminton World Federation has added Odisha Open to the 2022 Calendar. This will be one of the three badminton tournaments that India will host. The Odisha Open will be held in January 2022 in Odisha.
The Calendar unveiled today includes India Open Super 500, Syed Modi International Super 300 and the Odisha Open Super 100 to be played between January 25th to 30th.
“The HSBC BWF World Tour calendar is based on the principle of cluster tournaments primarily throughout Asia as well as traditional European tournament stops where the prospect of travel in that region is more viable,” the BWF said in a statement.
