Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force on Friday seized one illegal leopard hide near Narla in Kalahandi district and arrested two wildlife criminals in this connection.
A team of STF with the help of Kalahandi police conducted a raid near Narla Railway Station and arrested two accused for dealing wildlife products.
During the raid, one leopard Skin along with other incriminating materials were recovered from their possession.
The wildlife criminals could not produce any authority in support of possession of such Leopard Skin, for which they have been apprehended. They have been forwarded to the Court of JMFC, M Rampur Dist. Kalahandi.
The skin will be sent to Director WII, Derhadun for biological examination. Further investigation is underway, the STF sources said.
