Bhubaneswar: The Gandhi Peace Foundation, an organization that works to preserve and ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi, urged the people to strongly oppose the politically-instigated propaganda to defame Gandhism in the country.
The members of the Foundation at a meeting here expressed their serious concern over the instances of public glorification of Nathuram Godse, the killer of Mahatma Gandhi, and showing the father of the nation in poor light.
The meeting held at Bharat Scouts & Guides office here on Sunday was attended by several Gandhian leaders, veteran freedom fighters and social workers.
The members discussed the need for setting up of the state branch of Gandhi Peace Foundation in Odisha in order to spread the knowledge and understanding of the life and work of MK Gandhi.
