Bhubaneswar: As Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has stressed on ‘Healthcare for All’ in Odisha, the Health and Family Welfare Department, in a bid to streamline the healthcare sector, has linked some of major health institutions with social media platforms for delivering better health services.
The state-run hospitals, such as SCB Medical College and Hospital, the Sishu Bhawan and the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack and the Capital Hospital and the State Blood Transfusion Council in Bhubaneswar, have been linked with two popular social media platforms – Facebook and Twitter.
Now, people can lodge their complaints, inform about their grievances and submit their suggestions through the respective social media accounts.

The Health Department has urged the VIMSAR at Burla and the MKCG Medical College Hospital to open their social media accounts. Besides, other hospitals have also been directed to open accounts soon.
The Department will take steps immediately on the complaints and proposals made by people through the accounts.
