Bhubaneswar: The Sundargarh Medical College and Hospital will be functional from next year, informed State Health Minister Naba Kishore Das in the Assembly today.
The State Government is making preparations to take admission from 2022-23 academic session, he said.
The medical college will have 100 seats and the hospital will have 500 beds.
The Government will recruit 271 staffs in the medical college, he told in the House.
He further said that the Central Government has not taken step for setting up of the second AIIMS in Sundargarh district.
