Sundargarh: Retired Head Clerk Convicted in Bribery Case; Sentenced to 4-Year Jail

Bhubaneswar: A former head clerk in Sundargarh district was sentenced to four years jail after he was convicted in a bribery case.

The retired official has been identified as Md. Sabir Hussain, who was the ex-head clerk (retired) at the office of Tahasildar, Balisankara Tahasil, Sundargarh.

Hussain, who was charge sheeted by Odisha #Vigilance in Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case for taking bribe, was convicted to 4 years jail and fine.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Hussain following his conviction.
