Bhubaneswar: A creative display of sand art in the premises of Local head Office (LHO) of State Bank of India is unveiled this afternoon. Dy. Commissioner Sanitation of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Suvendu Kumar Sahoo and Chef General Manager of LHO , Bhubaneswar SBI Vidya Krishnan jointly inaugurated the creative display. With the objective of displaying swachhata message among the citizens SBI and BMC has taken such novel step.
While nationwide competition of urban local bodies is in acceleration for Swachha Survekshan 2022 (SS 2022), temple city is creating such innovative approach to aware citizens and mobilise communities for their active participation. Many agencies, organisations and individuals are showing their talent in the process. SBI Bhubaneswar is one among them that has collaborated the initiative through observation of Swachhata Pakhwada(Swachhata Pakhya) in the city. It has organized rallies, community level display and home visits, creative demonstrations like sand art and street plays.
The sand art is curated by eminent artist Subal Maharana and team who have composed a stunning sand art to spread the word of ‘Swachhata’ . Other illustrated themes are Azadi Ka amrit mahotsav and Swachha Survekshan 2022.
