Teachers Day: Odisha CM Hails Contribution of Teachers for Building Healthy Society

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hailed contribution of teachers for building a health society.

On the occasion of Teachers Day today, Naveen took to Twitter to highlight the invaluable role of teachers in shaping young minds and building their characters.

“Teachers play invaluable role in shaping young minds and building their characters for a healthy society”, the CM expressed.

“On Teachers Day, salute to all teachers & offer my humble tribute to scholar, philosopher & former President Dr S Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary”, Naveen tweeted.

Teacher’s Day is observed on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr. Radhakrishnan, born on September 5, 1888, was India’s first Vice President and second President.

Teacher’s Day 2019 will commemorate Dr. Radhakrishnan’s 131st birth anniversary. Teachers’ Day was first celebrated in 1962, the year he became the second President of India.

Since then, the day has been celebrated every year. Dr. Radhakrishnan highly believed that teachers should be the best minds in the country.

Teachers’ Day aims to value and acknowledge the contribution of all the teachers in shaping one’s lives.
