New Delhi: Three terrorists have been killed in an encounter between the 44 Rashtriya Rifles and terrorists in the morning hours of today at Shopian.
The encounter which continued for about two hours was carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) at Zainapora and 178 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force. One INSAS rifle and two AK-47s were recovered from the encounter site.
This is the fourth encounter in the area in the last ten days. Five terrorists killed on June 10 in an operation carried out by the forces.
