Tokyo Olympics: Indian Hockey Men’s Team Beat Spain 3:0

Tokyo: The Indian Hockey Men’s team today beat Spain 3:0 to register their second win in the Tokyo Olympics. The comfortable win against the Spanish team was a result of the chance conversion and solid defensive work by the players. This comes after the Indian team was defeated by the Australian team 7:0 in their last match. The first goal made by Simranjeet and the second goal came with the penalty corner converted to goal by Rupinderpal Singh. The later also converted another penalty corner to take india to the 3:0 lead against Spain.

Todays’s match is of great importance for Odisha and its two players of Indian team – Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas. While Birendra Lakra is playing his 200th match, for Amit Rohidas, it is his 100th match.
