Kendrapada: With the visit of 5T Secretary VK Pandian to Talasari and Udaypur beaches in Balasore and Bhitarkanika in Kendrapara district, it seems that the transformation of tourism sector in Odisha into attraction of national and international tourism destination is top of his agenda.
During his visit to Bhitarkanika, he reviewed the amenities and infrastructure facilities available in the national park.
Moving around the Bhitarkanika in a motorboat with senior officials including Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Secretary Works Dr Krishan Kumar and Tourism Director Sachin Jadhav, he asked the Rajnagar DFO Bikash Ranjan Dash not to move high-speed motorboats near to the breeding grounds of crocodiles.
He also discussed on how to increase the tourist footfall to the national park, reports said.
Earlier today, the 5T VK Pandian visited Talasari and Udaypur beaches in Balasore district and discussed on various developmental activities.
He reportedly inspected the entire beach and discussed about the developmental plans of these two areas including increasing the flow of tourists and creation of basic facilities with the locals and officials.
