Odisha: Twin City in Complete Lockdown Mode, Bans Private Vehicle Movement

Bhubaneswar: Taking a stringent measure to curb the spreading of Coronavirus, the Commissionerate Police announced that no private vehicles including taxis will be allowed to ply in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack without the permission from the police stations during the lockdown period till March 29.

This has been informed by Twin City Police Commissioner Dr. Sudhansu Sarangi.

He said that the private vehicle owners need to get pass from their nearest police stations in order to travel in the Twin City.

The police will take stringent action against the violators, he said while adding that all emergency cases would be addressed.

More than 50 platoons of police force and 300 officers have been deployed in the Twin City to enforce the lockdown announced by the State Government.

As per sources, other districts where the State Government has imposed lockdown are likely to follow the same.
