Two Female Maoists Surrender in Boudh

Boudh: Two female Maoists have surrendered before the Police in Boudh district.

Manisha Thati and Champa Koram, who are hailing from Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, have surrendered before the IGP (Southern Range) Jai Narayan Pankaj.

The two surrendered Maoists were members of the Kandhamal-Kalahandi-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) organization. They were active in Maoist activities for the last five years.

They were disturbed and frustrated by the unethical activities in Maoist organisation that included sexual harassment of female cadres, extortions, and enrolment of youngsters into the violent outfit through false promises and propaganda, as per police.

The surrendered Maoists also revealed the involvement of the Maoist organisation in the narcotics trade.
