Balasore: Two Forest Department guards were injured when poachers opened fire on them yesterday night in Nilagiri area. The incident has happened in the Panchalingeswar beat forest in Balasore district. According to sources, the forest department team was on a patrolling duty when they got information regarding presence of poachers. While the team was trying to apprehending them, the poachers opened fire. Both the injured forest guards have been shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack. The Kuldiha Forest officials have arrested two poachers involved in the incident.
