Udhayanidhi Stalin Leads Tamil Nadu Delegation to World Skill Center, Lauds Odisha’s Skill Ecosystem

Bhubaneswar: Tamil Nadu Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin along with senior officials from his State visited the World Skill Center (WSC) today as part of their official visit to Odisha.

The delegation was hosted at WSC by Usha Padhee , Principal Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Subroto Bagchi, Chairman OSDA, Alka Misra CEO, WSC, Sangaran Gopal, Principal, WSC and the Senior Management of World Skill Center.

Bagchi briefed the visitors on the Skill ecosystem of Odisha and the transformation journey that the system has undergone during recent times. The visitors were taken on a tour of the facilities like the advanced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration lab and the Robotics lab at WSC.

After touring WSC and interacting with the management and faculty of the center, Udhayanidhi expressed his admiration for the state-of-the-art facilities and commended the enthusiasm & commitment of the staff and leadership.

World Skill Center is an advanced skill training institute established by the Government of Odisha, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, through the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA). ITEES Singapore is the knowledge partner for WSC and is guiding the system through five key experts from Singapore in the leadership role of WSC.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the WSC on 5th March 2021 which aims to benefit the whole Skill eco system of the state of Odisha.

The visitors praised the efforts taken by the Government of Odisha under the vision of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to elevate the skill ecosystem of the state to a global level under Skilled-In-Odisha brand.
