UGB Employees Demand Fulfillment of 21-point Charter of Demands

Berhampur: The Utkal Grameen Bank Employees’ Association (UGBEA) and Utkal Grameen Bank Officers’ Association (UGBOA) on Wednesday demanded fulfillment of their 21-point Charter of Demands pertaining to the welfare of employees and operational issues.

Some of the demands include withdrawal of unilaterally issued recent staff circular on transfer policy, full and final implementation of the 12th bipartite and 9th joint note signed with the IBA and bank unions, 14% NPS contribution from 2013 and compensation for delayed deposit, restoration of increment date on account of participation on strike, extending the benefit of computer increment and restoration of absolute pension, abolishment of single custody system, consulting association while finalizing health insurance for staffs, extension of trade union rights as per government directives, regularization of all permanent sub-staff from the date of their initial engagement.

The associations also demanded to regularize all causal and part-time sub-staff as permanent sub-staff in the existing vacancies, honor leave rules and stop deputation beyond 20km and enhancement of discreationary power of branch managers and staff recruitment as per Mitra committee recommendation and implementation of mandatory leave rules as per CVC guidelines.

The associations affiliated with AIRRBEA have submitted their demands to the Chairman of Utkal Grameen Bank.
