UGBEA Members Go on Mass Leave Demanding Fulfillment of 23 Point Charter of Demands

Balangir: The members of Utkal Grameen Bank Employees Association (UGBEA) boycotted work and took mass leave from November 22 to November 26, 2021 demanding fulfillment of their 23 point charter of demands.

The demands include unconditional withdrawal of illegal suspension order of Hrusikesh Patro, Divisional Secy. Berhampur, compassionate appointment to the dependents of all eligible cases, deceased prior to 20.12.2006, as per 1982 compassionate appointment scheme, regularization of sub-staff from the date of initial engagement as per NIT Award, recognition of all part-time/casual/ temporary workers as Group D employees of the Bank with all social security, single window operator allowance to all clerical staff, no ceiling of halting allowance on deputation and payment of terminal benefits and pension from the next month of retirement.

The UGBEA also demanded payment of interest on gratuity in case of delayed payments (i.e more than one month) and fixing of accountability on the erring officials, no closure of Bank Branches in the guise of profitability, withdrawal of staff circular 2 of 2020 and an agreed upon transfer policy in consultation with associations.

The members of UGBEA sent a letter to Chairman of UGB, Head Office, Balangir in this regard.
