New Delhi: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson today said that he had tested positive for the Coronavirus, making him the first major world leader known to have contracted the disease.
“Over the last 24 hours, I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this”, the UK Prime Minister said
Johnson said that he had developed “a temperature and a persistent cough,” and that he would self-isolate at home.

The Coronavirus, which has originated in Wuhan city in China, has now spread to more than 150 countries with 533,000 cases being confirmed worldwide, including at least 24,082 deaths, as per reports.
