Union Health Ministry Issues New Home Isolation Guidelines For Mild COVID Patients

New Delhi: With the number of Covid-19 cases in the country rising rapidly, the Ministry of Health And Family Welfare has issued a new set of Home Isolation guidelines for mild Covid-19 patients and said that those who are clinically assigned as mild or asymptomatic are eligible for home isolation.

The new rules say that home isolation will be over after 7 days of testing Covid-19 positive if the infected person doesn’t get fever for 3 consecutive days. It also says that the asymptomatic patients are not required to go for a test after completing the home isolation period. Patients belonging to more than 60 years age and those with co-morbidities will only be allowed home isolation after a doctor’s evaluation.
