Urban Transformation: CM Naveen to Dedicate Various Projects Under JAGA Mission, Drink From Tap and MUKTA Schemes Today
Bhubaneswar: Heralding a new era in urban transformation, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today dedicate to the people various urban infrastructure projects under the JAGA Mission, Drink From Tap and MUKTA Schemes.
The Chief Minister will launch the distribution of land rights certificates in four Municipal Corporations of Berhampur, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Rourkela today under the Jaga Mission scheme. Land rights certificates will be given to 21,427 families. Apart from this, 626 Biju Adarsh Colonies will be dedicated to the slum dwellers of 69 cities of the state. This will benefit 2 lakh families. Naveen will also declare 26 slum-free cities.
As part of the program, Berhampur will be declared as a full-fledged 24-hour Drink From Tap city. Four and a half lakh people will be benefited by this scheme. The Chief Minister will also dedicate 60 clean drinking water supply projects to Jharsuguda, Brajrajnagar, Belpahar and 30 other cities. These projects will benefit more than 5 lakh people.
The Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of 27 clean drinking water supply projects for 24 cities with an investment of Rs 1,164 crore. Apart from this, 6,961 transformed projects will be dedicated in 115 cities of the state under the Mukta Scheme. The newly constructed box drain for Cuttack city will also be inaugurated.
