Bhubaneswar: Vehicle sales have picked up in Odisha following the relaxation in lockdown guidelines.
About 15,193 vehicles have been sold in Odisha during the month of May, informed the State Transport Authority (STA).
Even though in normal times, more than 60,000 units are sold every month. The sale of more than 15,000 vehicles is an encouraging trend, the STA said.
The Government has allowed the vehicle dealers to operate their business after May 4, after being locked down from March 22 to May 3.
Two wheelers constitute about 12 thousand units. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter has sold about 4484 units, Hero Motor Corp 4196 units, TVS 2228 units and Royal Enfield 576 units, the STA added.
