Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths have raided properties of Jayant Kumar Das, Assistant Civil Supplies Officer, Nayagarh on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets.
During the simultaneous house searches at five different locations, the anti-corruption officials have unearthed Rs 2,74,075 cash , one four wheeler and three two wheelers from the possession of Das so far.
Search locations include four storeyed building located at Lenkudipada in Nayagarh; double storeyed building located at Gandhisahi lane, Odagaon in Nayagarh; double storeyed building located at Gandhisahi lane, Odagaon (adjacent to above building), single storeyed building located at native village Biruda in Nayagarh and office of Jayant Das located at Nayagarh town.
Searches are led by 4 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, one SI, 4 ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
Search is in still underway, the Vigilance said.
