Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian on Monday marked the beginning of his political journey by officially joining the Biju Janata Dal.
Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik has inducted his former secretary into the BJD.
VK Pandian joined the Biju Janata Dal in presence of several senior leaders of the party who wholeheartedly welcomed him to the party fold.
Pandian is scheduled to go to the Sankha Bhawan in a short time from now where a grand welcome will be accorded by the party leaders and members.
With entry into active politics, a new chapter has been added in the eventful career of VK Pandian.
The former IAS officer, who has played a key role in the successful implementation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s transformative initiatives through the pathbreaking 5T Initiatives and other governance models, will now play a bigger role in serving the state and people.
It is worth noting that Pandian took voluntary retirement from the Civil Services last month and a day after he was appointed as the Chairman 5T Transformational Initiatives and ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’, CM Naveen Patnaik’s ambitious plan for the development of infrastructure in rural areas and the promotion of Jagannath culture.
With the political entry of Pandian, a new era has started in the journey of Biju Janata Dal.
