Dubai: The UAE-based VPS Healthcare has been appointed as the medical partner for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled to commence from September 19 in the United Arab Emirates.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reached out an agreement with the healthcare group, which is headed by Shamsheer Vayalil, son in law of Lulu Supermarket founder M.A. Yusuf Ali.
As per the agreement, VPS Healthcare will be supporting IPL by providing emergency medical support, musculoskeletal imaging services, sports medicine services, medical admissions and treatment and ambulance support, including air ambulance services.
