New Delhi: The first semi-final match of the Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand has been suspended for the day due to rains. The match will resume tomorrow morning.
New Zealand batsmen were at the crease with a score of 211 for five wickets of 46 overs.
If the match is again disrupted tomorrow, chances of India going straight to the finals are high because of the higher number of points in the group stages.
Earlier in the day, the New Zealand team won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost the forst wicket of Martin Guptill early. Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of Guptill caught by Virat Kohli at just one run.
Ken Williamson made 67 runs . at the time of the match suspension, Ross Taylor was on pitch with 67 runs and Tom Latham with three runs. For India, Bhuvanshwar Kumar, Jashprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzuvendra Cahal had taken one wicket each.
