Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued red warning to nine districts of the state in the next 24 hours as the well marked low pressure brings heavy rainfall.
The MET Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over the districts of Sambalpur, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sundargarh and Deogarh.
Likewise, it has issued Orange warning to the districts of Angul, Nuapada, Nawarangpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, and Kandhamal where heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places.
According to the weathermen, the well marked low pressure area lies over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood is very likely to move W-NWwards across Odisha, GWB, Jharkhand, north Chhattisgarh, north MP and southern UP during the next 5 days.
