Bhubaneswar: Whenever there is a change, there are challenges. But it is not a barrier or obstacle. If your intentions are good, then the challenges will be resolved, said Electronics and Information Technology (E&IT) Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra while speaking about the transformation in the IT sector in Odisha.
Speaking about the IT scenario in the State during a live discussion at the News18 Odia Atmanirbhar Odisha – Odisha Business Leadership Awards 2022, he said the Odisha Government is thriving to create an ecosystem for the growth of IT sector in the State.
Mishra said that the State Government has brought four key policies related to E&IT recently, including the IT Policy 2022. Other three policies are ESDM, BPO and Data Centre, he said.
“Whenever there is a change, there are challenges. But it is not a barrier or obstacle. If your intentions are good, then the challenges will be resolved”, he said while citing the example of BSYK Smart Health cards.
The BSYK is not an IT scheme, but a health scheme. However, the IT has played a major role in ensuring the smart health cards in reaching the 96 lakh families across the State tackling all challenges, he said.
A complete transformation across all the sectors can be brought by the IT, he said.
The E&IT Secretary further stated that it is not enough to bring a policy or a company to bring revolutionary change in the IT sector.
“Our aim is to create an environment for the growth of IT sector from starting to endpoint, so that the scope of job creation for the youth will be ensured and the State will be immensely benefited”, he said.
The E&IT Secretary has felicitated Ori-Home Constructions as an emerging company at the News18 Odia Atmanirbhar Odisha – Odisha Business Leadership Awards 2022.
