Bhubaneswar: BJD President and star campaigner Naveen Patnaik today hit the campaign trail for upcoming by-election to Pipli Assembly seat, seeking support for party candidate Rudra Pratap Maharathy.
Addressing the people of Pipli and Delanga blocks through virtual mode, Naveen said he had loved to visit Pipli physically to meet the people, but stayed due to the COVID pandemic as it might put lives of people in risk.
Naveen promised that he would visit the constituency after the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
He further said that the people of Pipli have always reposed their faith in Biju Janata Dal. Pipili and Delanga blocks have witnessed a lot of development works under the BJD rule, he said.
The BJD supermo further said that he would personally monitor the development works in the area.
Garnering support for party candidate Rudra Pratap Maharathy in the ensuing by-poll, Naveen appealed to the voters, especially the women, to turn in large numbers to vote for the BJD.
