Puri: Good news for pilgrims as the world famous Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri will reopen next month, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Dr. Krishan Kumar here today.
Speaking to media after the Chattisa Nijog meeting, he said “There are plans for reopening of Srimandir for devotees in the 2nd or 3rd week of December.
The government will also prepare a Special standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the devotees who will visit the temple, he added.
While speaking on the Nagarjuna Besha of the deities to be held on Friday, Kumar said a 3-layer security arrangement will be made at the temple during the event.
It has been decided that nobody other than the servitors will be allowed to enter the temple premises during Nagarjuna Besha.
According to Kumar, the servitors will not be allowed to carry mobile phones with them inside the temple during Nagarjuna Besha.
Puri Collector Balwant Singh was also present in the Chattisa Nijog meeting.
