Zero Tolerance: ASP Trinath MIshra Given Compulsory Retirement

Bhubaneswar: Reiterating its commitment to zero tolerance to corruption, the Odisha Government today gave compulsory retirement to Assistant Superintendent of Police Trinath Mishra. Trinath was arrested by the Odisha Vigilance earlier last week for possession of disproportionate assets known to his sources of income. The anti corruption unit had unearthed assets of more than Rs 9 Crore during the searches. The vigilance department had conducted simultaneous searches at various places including Cuttack, Khordha, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Nabarangpur and unearthed huge amounts of cash and assets.

The officer has been given compulsory retirement within one week of his arrest by the Vigilance Department. The super fast decision of the Odisha Government proves that there is no place for corruption and inefficiency in public life and those found guilty will face the consequences. The government has given compulsory retirement to 152 government officials on charges of corruption and inefficiency.
