Zero Tolerance to Corruption: Compulsory Retirement to 2 Officers
Stopped Pension of Six officers permanently
Bhubaneswar: Continuing with its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given compulsory retirement to two government officials and stopped pension of six officials permanently.
The officers who have given compulsory retirement are Revenue Inspectors of Koksara Tahasil, Iswari Parsad Purohit and Arun Kumar Purohit of Birmaharajpur Tahasil.
With this as many as 74 government officials have been dismissed while15 others have been given compulsory retirement since August 2019.
The officers whose pension have been stopped are Chief Engineer –cum Managing Director of Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) Sudhir Kumar Brajendra Narayan, Senior Project Manager, OBCC, Arun Charan Parida, Assistant Engineer (retired) Rural Development, Kamakshyanagar Sub division, Pramod Kumar Behera, Executive Engineer (retired), Rural Development, Puri Brajasundar Patnaik, Executive Engineer (retired) , CMC Khageswar Swain and superintendent Engineer, Roads and Buildings, Sambalpur Division, Bibekananda.
These officials have already been convicted by the vigilance court.
