108 MLAs on an Immersion Mission on High School Transformation Proramme in Hinjili AC

Berhampur: With high schools in Ganjam district getting a facelift under the ambitious ‘High School Transformation’ programme, the MLAs from different constituencies will be visiting the district to learn about the project being implemented as part of the 5T initiative.

A total of 108 legislators will be visiting the Hinjili assembly constituency on an immersion mission to see the transformed schools.

The MLAs will be visiting various schools in Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks from August 21 to 30 in five phases.

As many as 50 high schools in Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks, which have been transformed with modern facilities under the ‘High School Transformation’ programme, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on August 21.

Earlier, the Chief Minister interacted with the students of Sasana Ambagaon High School in Hinjili block about the school transformation programme being undertaken in the area.

During the virtual interaction, the CM has engaged with the students over their experience with the new facilities and advised them to make the most of it in strive for academic excellence.

Prior to that, on the direction of the Chief Minister, 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited as many as 23 high schools in Hinjili block and 17 schools in Seragada block to review progress of the project.

The 5T Secretary, who leads the programme, held elaborate discussions with Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, other officials of district administration, teachers, students, and alumnus and community members to take stock of the progress of the project.

Being directly supervised by the 5T Secretary, the High School Transformation programme aims at giving a complete facelift to the state-run high schools with the state-of-the-art facilities, like such as e-library, smart classrooms, computer rooms, science laboratories, sports facilities, reading rooms, laboratory, drinking water facilities, hygienic toilets and above all a conducive study environment.

As many as 133 high schools including 22 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, are set to get a facelift in Ganjam district under the programme.
