Bhubaneswar: Thirteen police personnel from Odisha have been selected for President’s Medal on the 78th Independence Day.
Two police officers have been nominated for President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service while 11 others have been conferred Medal for Meritorious Service, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Suresh Dev Datta Singh, Additional Director General of Police, and Sachinanda Rath, Deputy Superintendent of Police, will be honoured with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day.
Kaushika Kumar Naik, Deputy Commandant; Sanat Kumar Nathsharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Kavita Sahu, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Pramoda Kumar Mohanta, Constable; Pradyumna Kumar Nanda, Sub Inspector; Babula Samal, Assistant Sub Inspector; Sanjukta Patanaik, Constable; Haribandhu Bhatra, Inspector; and Tophan Behera, Havildar; will receive the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service.
A total of 1037 Police personnel from across the country have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of Independence Day, 2024.
