On World Red Cross Day, Odisha CM Urges All to Do Bit as Compassionate Society to Protect Human Lives

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Red Cross Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged all to do their bit as a compassionate society during this difficult time to protect human lives.

Taking to Twitter, the CM said, “Millions of volunteers around the world are working round the clock and making umpteen sacrifices to fight the COVID-19 pandemic”.

“On World Red Cross Day, let us all pledge to do our bit as a compassionate society during this difficult time to protect human lives”, Naveen urged.

World Red Cross day is observed on May 8 to celebrate the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

On this day, people pay tributes to the Red Cross volunteers for their contribution in helping those in need.

CM Naveen Patnaik
