Bhubaneswar: Antibodies against COVID-19 infection found in 5.15 per cent of people in Odisha’s capital city, revealed the serological survey.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary informed that just 5.15 per cent of people have developed antibodies during the sero study.
He said that 1500 to 1600 samples were collected at the community level for the first round of second phase of the survey.
The BMC Commissioner said that Bhubaneswar is the most protected city as antibody prevalence is still very low.
However, the city with a lower antibody prevalence is at risk of getting more number of positive cases, hence we need to follow the COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing norms very strictly, he added.
