Bhubaneswar: All the higher secondary schools and colleges in Rayagada will be transformed within the six months under the 5T initiatives, said Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian during his visit to the district on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 14.05 crore for the improvement of degree colleges and higher secondary schools under the 5T transformation programme, the 5T Secretary said while interacting with the students at the newly constructed Biju Patnaik Auditorium in Rayagada.
During his visit, the 5T Secretary has reviewed various development projects in Rayagada. He also interacted with the common people to know about their problems and took steps to alleviate their problems.
Pandian also visited the Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital and discussed with the patients and medical staffs to inquire about various problems. He urged to speed up the improvement of the hospital under Mo Hospital plan in 5T transformation programs.
The 5T Secretary congratulated the medical team of Rayagada DHH for receiving the Kayakalpa Award since 2019 till date and for getting Muskan certificate in both internal and external medicine in pediatrics.
Pandian also interacted with the members of Maa Mangala Mission Shakti SHG, which is engaged at the hospital and reviewed their work. He highly appreciated the quality of food provided to the patients. He also directed the CDMO and Public Health Officer to conduct regular monitoring to ensure that the quality of food, sanitation, clean drinking water and other services provided to the patients are always at a high level.
He visited the multi-purpose indoor stadium under construction at Rayagada and ordered to speed up its work and complete the work soon.
Pandian also visited Maa Majhighariani Temple and offered his prayers to the deity. He discussed with the temple committee members about the beautification of the temple.
Exemption of the land premium for land exchange with Railways for Maa Majhighariani Temple will be accorded approval soon. A DPR for beautification of of Maa Majhighariani Temple will be submitted in one month and construction work will start within six months.
