Bhubaneswar: 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian on Monday visited the birthplace of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das at Suando village of Satyabadi block in Puri on the auspicious occasion of Utkal Divas.
The 5T Chairman garlanded the statue of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das and paid his humble tributes to the great sons of soil who made immense contribution for the formation of separate Odisha state on the basis of language.
On the way back from Suando, the 5T Chairman visited the residence of Pandit Gopabandhu Das and offered homage in memory of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das.
As per the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s ambitious plan to build Odisha, the State Government has taken many groundbreaking steps for the development of Suando, the birthplace of Pandit Gopabandhu Das, for the reawakening of Odia language, literature and culture.
Dhirendra Nath Das and Rabindra Nath Das, great grandsons of Pandit Gopabandhu Das, met the 5T Chairman during his visit and discussed about the various developmental works of Suando village.
