Bhubaneswar: As part of its commitment to ensure hassle-free service delivery under 5T initiatives, the Odisha Government has introduced the Smart Queue Management System at eight more Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in the State.
The Transport Department has implemented the smart queue management system to improve the citizens’ experience at Malkangiri, Boudh, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Phulbani, Rayagada, Baripada and Chandikhol RTOs, as per reports.
The system will now ensure better customer engagement and less waiting time catalyzing higher customer satisfaction.
It is hassle-free and robust for end-to-end automation to manage queues of customers using different services. The system simplifies and speeds up the process of issuing licenses, registering vehicles and paying taxes.
According to the system, a token is generated at the office once applicants enter to avail services. There is no need to queue as there would be a display system at all counters to announce token numbers. The applicants can know the approximate waiting time to use the service through predictions of the system. Citizens will receive a notification for their service.
Earlier in July this year, the Transport Department had introduced the system Cuttack (Track), Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Ganjam, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Balangir, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh and Sonepur.
